The regional environment
Our new company location is based in the town of Ingolstadt, located in the south of Germany nearby of Munich. Dating back to the early Middle Ages Ingolstadt is today a strong industrial city with e.g. headquarters and main production centers of Audi or large production sites of Airbus Air and Defense. Also the largest German electric retailer – Media Saturn Holding – is located in Ingolstadt.
From a defense perspective Ingolstadt is a pioneer garrison town and home base of a German corps of engineers. Furthermore the Bundeswehr/German Army Technical Center for Aircraft and Aeronautical Equipment (WTD 61) is located in Manching, nearby of Ingolstadt. A unit e.g. in charge of testing and qualifying new manned planes or UAVs for the German Army.
The building
We take ecology and green energy seriously and have invested time and money to build a high efficiency residential and commercial property house in 2021, now the new home-base of FHC.
From a technology perspective this house is using fuel cell technology to be enhanced with a photovoltaic system (to be installed mid 2022), two central ventilation systems with heat recovery and high efficiency bricks. With this building we contribute to fight climate change.
